EAST COAST

The Tasman Bridge, the causeway to Midway Point and beyond to Sorell, lead the traveller away to the several courses of sensory feasts The East Coast has to offer, whether southeast to Coles Bay and Freycinet, or more northerly towards The Bay of Fires, the visual splendour is everywhere; and equally splendidly matched by the local fruits of the vine and of the sea.

The rain-shadow effect of the central mountain ranges and Midlands creates a drier climate with more days of sunshine yearly than other parts of Tasmania, allowing more comfortable touring by car, motorcycle or bike, through rural landscapes of grazing pastures, vineyards and forested hills, set by rivers and streams flowing to a coastline of spectacular seascapes.
